Question: Just getting started with Boolean Algebra, could somebody help?
A={4,8}, B={2}, C= {2, 4, 6}
A’UBUC’
I know AUBUC is {2,4,6,8} but I’m not sure what the ‘s Mean.
My teacher handed us instructions and worksheets and told us to learn this on our own; the instructions do not mention anything about ‘s
Answer: If a set letter has ‘ after it, it means the negation of the set. In other words, it’s all elements *not* in the set.
If you were looking at a Venn diagram, for example, A would be represented by a Circle containing 4 and 8. A’ would be everything outside that set (namely 2 and 6}.
A’ = {2, 6}
C’ = {8}
B = {2}
A’ U B U C’
= {2, 6, 8}

Question: Teaching Children Math using web-based resources?
I need a bit of help in finding 3 good web-based resources for teaching my students. I want to know if there are good websites out there containing exercises and explanations and maybe a few games about
1. Addition- basic facts eg 1plus 1= 2
2. Division- factors
3. Multiplication- multiplying by tens
I always stumble upon worksheets but would like to have a few websites which allow the children to learn through examples/games etc…anyone can help me find a few good websites about those 3 topics? please??
Answer: What you need are some children’s games that do some sort of counting. I do this with my daughter and she likes it, but truly gets bored with the internet version of math, but you are certainly welcome to try. I would recommend the following sites to get you started:
