Math Worksheets On Probability
Question: Independent & Dependent Probability worksheet… Help?
So I’m in 8th grade, and today’s homework was on Independent & Dependent Probability, but I don’t fully understand dependent probability… I Mean, the teacher told us to write down “REPLACE” under Independent Events and “DON’T REPLACE” under Dependent Events, but then does that Mean that I’m supposed to ADD the two fractions in order to solve a dependent probability math problem? I know it sounds stupid, but math is just NOT my thing. I am so confused! Care to explain it to me and tell me if I’ve been doing it right all along or not? Thanks!
BTW, here’s an attatched picture that I scanned through of the worksheet so that it’ll be easier to understand, lol:

Answer: It wants you to find the probability of picking out the cards in that order, but then it wants you to find out the probability of the cards of you didn’t put the cards you took out back in. At least that’s what I think. I’m in 7th grade, but in an 8th grade math class, we haven’t done probability yet, but from what we have done, I can tell you that’s the most likely thing it’s asking.
Otherwise, just ask your teacher, or a friend in that class to help figure it out if I’m wrong.

Algebra Worksheets Simplifying Expressions
Question: Algebra 2 Worksheet help?
I can’t seem to do these questions given to me as a snow packet for the weekend. Can you help me?
1. Perform the indicated operations. Simplify if possible
((6x)/(x+1))+((7)/(x+1))-((12)/(x^2-1))
2. Find the LCD of the rational expressions in the list
((r-1)/(r^2+2r+1)), ((-9)/(r^2+r))
Thanks for the help!
Answer: 6x/(x + 1) + 7/(x + 1) – 12/(x – 1)(x + 1)
Should one of the terms be over (x – 1)? It makes it more interesting since the first two terms have the same denominator.
The LCM is (x – 1)(x + 1)
[6x(x - 1) + 7(x - 1) - 12]/(x – 1)(x + 1)
[6x^2 - 6x + 7x - 7 - 12]/(x – 1)(x + 1)
[6x^2 + x - 19]/(x – 1)(x + 1)
2. Find the LCD of the rational expressions in the list
(r – 1)/(r^2 + 2r + 1)), -9/(r^2 + r)
(r – 1)/(r + 1)(r + 1) and -9/r(r + 1)
So, the LCM, as we say in the UK, is: r(r + 1)(r +1)
Hope this helps.
