Pythagoras
Pythagoras or Pythagoras theorem is one of
the most useful theorems in geometry and math. Pythagoras
theorem allows many calculations to be made about triangles.
The man who found Pythagoras theorem was the Greek philosopher
and mathematician, Pythagoras.
Pythagoras theorem
Pythagoras theorem is a simple rule about
the proportion of the sides of right triangles. The Pythagoras
theorem states that:
" the square of the
hypotenuse of a right triangle is equal to the sum of the
squares of the other two sides of the right
triangle."
The illustration of Pythagoras theorem

Right triangle in pythagoras
theory
In a right triangle, a2 + b2 =
c2 . This is also
known loosely as Pythagoras
formula.
Suppose a = 4, b = 5, then:
c2 = 42 +
52 = 16 + 25 = 41
c = the square root of 41 = 6.403124.
Who was Pythagoras?
The Pythagoras theorem is invented by
Pythagoras. Pythagoras (ca. 582 - ca 497 B.C.) was a Greek
philosopher and mathematiccian. Pythagoras' ideas influenced
great thinkers throughout the ages. Pythagoras is well known to
math students for the pythagoras theorem.
