Circle

What is a circle?

A circle is a set of points within a plane where all points on the circle 's perimeter are at the same distance from a common point inside the circle called the center.

Radius

The distance from the center of the circle to any point of the circle is called the radius. The radius of a circle is usually denoted by r.

Diameter

A line segment drawn through the center of the circle to points on either side of hte circle is called the diameter. The circle is bisected or cut into two equal parts along the diameter line. The diameter is eual to 2x the radius.

Circumference

The distance around the circle is called the circumference. The circumference of a circle is equal to 2 x pi x redius or pi x diameter.
