Addition Worksheets Examples

Below are some more addition worksheets examples. Let's add larger numbers. Let's add 198 and 769. Remember the steps of addition.

First write them in columns with larger number on top.

Now add the last column first, working your way from the right hand column to the left hand column. The right hand column has numbers 9 and 8 giving 17. Leave 7 on the right hand column and move 1 (in 17) to the middle column.

Now add the middle column. We have 6 plus 9 plus 1 equals 16. Leave 6 in the middle column and move 1 to the left column.

Now add the most left column. We have 7 plus 1 plus 1 equals 9. We have now finished adding all columns. The sum of 769 and 198 is 967.
