Question: Algebra WorkSheet!!! Please help =[ Show work so i can understand it too, ty ?

Evaluate.Express the result in scientific notation
1. ( 9.5 )(6x10 to the 5th power)
2. ( 6.4x 10 to the 3rd power) ( 4x10 to the -6th power)
Solve the Equation
3. 3y(y-3)+5=3(y-2y)-2y the 5=3(y , the y is squared
5. 3(4x+4)=2(5x+9)-12
Find the product
6. (r-7)(r+2)
7. -4r to the 3rd power( 3r,squared-4r3)
8. (4c+6) squared

Its 20 questions but those are the ones i need help on. Thanks if you helped. ( This is for a grade) :]

Answer: Evaluate.Express the result in scientific notation

1. ( 9.5 )(6×10 to the 5th power)
(9.5)(6)(10^5) <--You can break the above down to three numbers being multiplied together.
(57)(10^5) <--For scientific notation, you must convert "57" to a number between 0 and 10. You do this by factoring "57" to "(5.7)(10)".
(5.7)(10)(10^5) <--Using the rule of exponents, realize that 10=10^1.
(5.7)(10^1)(10^5) <--Add the exponents "1" and "5" together.
(5.7)(10^6) <--Final answer. Use the same steps for the problem below.

2. ( 6.4x 10 to the 3rd power) ( 4x10 to the -6th power)
(6.4)(10^3)(4)(10^-6) <--Rule of exponents: Take care of the 10s and add the exponents together.
(6.4)(4)(10^-3) <-- Multiply "6.4" and "4" together.
(25.6)(10^-3) <--Factor "25.6" down.
(2.56)(10)(10^-3)
(2.56)(10^1)(10^-3)
(2.56)(10^-2)

Solve the Equation

3. 3y(y - 3) + 5 = 3(y^2 - 2y) - 2y
3y^2 - 9y + 5 = 3y^2 - 6y - 2y
3y^2 - 9y + 5 = 3y^2 - 8y
3y^2 - 3y^2 - 9y + 5 = -8y
-9y + 5 = -8y
-9y + 8y + 5 = 0
-y + 5 = 0
-y = -5
y = 5

5. 3(4x + 4) = 2(5x + 9) - 12
12x + 12 = 10x + 18 - 12
12x + 12 = 10x + 6
12x - 10x + 12 = 6
2x + 12 = 6
2x = 6 - 12
2x = -6
x = -3

Find the product

6. (r - 7)(r + 2)
r^2 + 2r - 7r - 14
r^2 - 5r - 14

7. -4r^3( 3r^2 - 4r^3)
-12r^5 + 16r^6
16r^6 - 12r^5

8. (4c + 6)^2
(4c + 6)(4c + 6)
16c^2 + 24c + 24c + 36
16c^2 + 48c + 36

Question: My step son is struggling in math and cannot pass the 8th grade SOL for it, are there any free online?

tutorials or worksheets with detailed instruction like you would find in an 8th grade math book? He is a senior in high school and has to pass this to graduate!

Answer: Your mistake was enrolling him in public school. Don’t worry about it. They will graduate him. They always do. Most high school students educated in public schools cannot even read their diploma nor can they do 8th grade math.
