Math Worksheets Borrowing

math worksheets borrowing
Question: I have a math worksheet to work on and we just started a new unit today. Help please???

The unit is on Simple Interest, and the question is asking to

calculate the simple interest in each situation:

a.) $4250 invested at 6%/a for 38 months.

b.) $5000 borrowed at 5.75%/a for 45 weeks.

The interest in both of these questions is $4520 and $5000

respectively. The rate is 6%- 0.06% and 5.75% – 0.0575%

respectively. The time is 38 months and 45 weeks respectively.

The formula is I = Prt. My question is how do you change months

and weeks into years because time has to be in years. I need

urgent help! Someone please come to my rescue!!!

Answer: well first off, a year has 12 months or 52 weeks. second, the principle amounts are $4250 and $5000, you are being asked to calculate the interest. I’m not familiar with your formula so maybe if you tell us what each variable stands for we could help more.
