Question: I fail at Math HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!?

Ok My teacher (kirkham) is really hard!!! and I was passing her class last week and now I appear to be failing!!! like a freeekin F! and I have been doing this packet that we turn in with our homework we had for the week and its pretty easy Thank god!!! And all she does to teach a lesson is give us notes on it, and I guess she assumes we learn it, then we have a worksheet. I’m really afraid to ask her in front of people because they would think its a dumb question…… And she doesnt have any private tutoring, and she stays after school on Tuesdays and Thursdays but theres still people there. I’m so afraid she will think I’m dumb!! I have tried with my mom but shes no good at math and my dad’s a real estate agent and can’t stand to be bothered!!! can any of you PLEASE help me?????? So I guess Im just asking what are some good things to do to get your grade up? besides exra credit! – Obviously helpless

Answer: What grade are you in, maybe I can help you, and also, I used to be regular student in math, but now I am the best in my grade, this is because of this guy:

http://www.youtube.com/khanacademy

and also register to his website, http://khanacademy.org/
And click on “free, adaptive math program available here.”
he explains how his website works here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2uUZXj8ugCM
if you don’t want to register, just watch the videos, the website helps to remove holes because it starts from 1 + 1 all the way calculus. I am not affiliated with him in any way, just so you know, I’m just saying this because this really helped me, and I hope it helps you too.

Math Worksheets Borrowing

math worksheets borrowing
Question: I have a math worksheet to work on and we just started a new unit today. Help please???

The unit is on Simple Interest, and the question is asking to

calculate the simple interest in each situation:

a.) $4250 invested at 6%/a for 38 months.

b.) $5000 borrowed at 5.75%/a for 45 weeks.

The interest in both of these questions is $4520 and $5000

respectively. The rate is 6%- 0.06% and 5.75% – 0.0575%

respectively. The time is 38 months and 45 weeks respectively.

The formula is I = Prt. My question is how do you change months

and weeks into years because time has to be in years. I need

urgent help! Someone please come to my rescue!!!

Answer: well first off, a year has 12 months or 52 weeks. second, the principle amounts are $4250 and $5000, you are being asked to calculate the interest. I’m not familiar with your formula so maybe if you tell us what each variable stands for we could help more.
