Question: How should I do this homework? lots of it..?

Ok, here’s all the homework I have for tonight (and no, I haven’t been procrastinating, I’ve been working for 3 hours every night for the past week)

Math assignment
Science booklet ( 5 pages )
English rough draft Essay ( 500 words )
Music 2 worksheets
Study for Art test

How should I do this so I can finish tonight? its 6:20pm now and I’ve got until tomorrow to finish this list (there’s more work, but that’s not due until Friday, all that’s on the list up there is due tomorrow)

Answer: just keep on doing it.don’t think of “how to finish”.you will end up with your work ,once you stared with it.keep on smiling .

Algebra Worksheets Combining Like Terms

Question: Some exponent Questions? Please help?

I am working on a worksheet in my algebra 2 class (online) and need some help on these questions. I will provide the question. They will be copied directly from my worksheet. Also, I need to get this done so that I can have my Christmas vacation off. Any help is greatly appreciated! Please provide how you got the answer so that I can understand them.

8. Simplify. Write the answer with positive exponents.
[(-8x^3y^-2) / (5z^5)]^2

11. Simplify.
If P(x) = 4x^2 + 5x – 2 and Q(x) = -9x^2 – 4, find 4[P(x)] – Q(x).

A. 25×2 – 20x – 4
B. -25×2 + 20x – 4
C. 25×2 + 20x – 4
D. 25×2 + 20x + 4

12. Simplify.
If P(x) = 5x + 2, find P(-x).

A. -7x
B. -5x – 2
C. -5x + 2
D. 5x – 2

13. Simplify by combining like terms.
-8x^2 – 3x + 9x + 5x

A. -8×2 + 6x + 5
B. 1080x^5
C. -8×2 + 11x
D. -8×2 + 6x

Thank you for any help that you provide. Happy Holidays!

Answer: 8)
multiplying with a value with negative exponent is equal to dividing by the same value with the positive exponent.
a^(-2) = 1/(a^2)
this is how you can solve this without having any negative exponent in your solution.

[(-8x^3 * y^-2) / (5z^5)]^2
= (-8x^3 / y^2 )^2 / (5z^5)^2
= ( (-8x^3)^2 / (y^2)^2 ) / 25z^10
= ( 64x^6 / y^4 ) / 25z^10
= 64x^6 / (y^4 * 25z^10)

11)
4[P(x)] – Q(x)
= 4 * (4x^2 + 5x – 2) – (-9x^2 – 4)
= 16x^2 + 20x – 8 + 9x^2 + 4
= 25x^2 + 20x – 4

12)
just handle the -x as you would handle a number you have to plug into your function.

P(-x) = 5* (-x) + 2
= -5x + 2

13)
x and x^2 are not like items, so just combine all a*x and you are done
-8x^2 – 3x + 9x + 5x
= -8x^2 + (-3 + 9 + 5) * x
= -8x^2 + 11x

Math Worksheets On Integers

Question: Algebra Question.. Math…?

i have to do a worksheet and this is what it says on the example.

Find four consecutive odd interger whose sum is -80

An odd integer can be written as 2n +1, where n is the interger
If 2n+1 is the odd interger then add 2 to get the next largest odd interger and so on
now write
(2n+1)+(2n+3)+(2n+5)+(2n + 7) equals -80

the first question is to answer the example anyone know how to do it. i dont understand the example. If you know the answer plz comment and teach me how to do it.. =/
THIS IS 9TH GRADE MATH =]
THANK YOU FOR THE ANSWERS I UNDERTAND IT NOW.
SORRY I CAN RATE THE BEST BECAUSE IM NOT EVEN ON LEVEL 2. SO THX ANYWAYS

Answer: If you want to solve the problem following the example, then
2n+1+2n+3+2n+5+2n+7= -80
or 8n+16= -80
or 8n= -80-16= -96
or,n= -96/8= -12
therefore,the first number =2*-12+1= -23
The second number=-2*-12+3= -21
The third no =2*-12+5=-19
The fourth number is 2*-12+7=-17
You may solve the problem in the following way also
Let the numbers be x,x+2,x+4 and x+6
therefore according to the problem,
x+x+2+x+4+x+6= -80
or4x+12=-80
4x= -92
x= -23
Therefore the numbers are -23,-21,-19 and -17
