Math Worksheets Capacity

Question: Can you help me with math??? PLEASE!!?

I got this year in view worksheet to do. I got stuck with some problems because I forgot how to do them. Please help!

1) Of the 75 pitches the pitcher threw, 55 were for strikes and the rest balls. What percent of EACH were thrown?

2) The capacity of the box seats on the first base line is 45 fans. If there are 13 fans already seated for the game, write an INEQUALITY for the maximum fans who can sit in those box seats. Simplify.

3)What would be the slope of a line that is perpendicular to the line: y=17x=2.50?

4) Four uniforms tops (t) and three uniform bottoms (b) cost $125. 4t+3b=125. Six uniform tops and three uniform bottoms cost $165. 6t+3b=165. Write a system of equations. What is the cost of one uniform top? What is the cost of one uniform bottom?

THANKS(:

Answer: 1) Of the 75 pitches the pitcher threw, 55 were for strikes and the rest balls.
What percent of EACH were thrown?
Total = 75
Strikes = 55
No strikes = 20
% strike = 55*100/75 = 73.33 % ……………….. Answer
% NO strike = 20*100/75 = 26.66 % ……………. Answer

2)What would be the slope of a line that is perpendicular
to the line: y = 17x – 2.50. …………………………………….. [1]
Slope, m = 17
Slope of the line perpendicular to [1],
m1 = -1/m = -1/17 ……………………………….. Answer

Multiplication

Multiplication is probably one of the most useful operation in mathematics. After Addition and Subtraction, kids learn multiplication with the help of multiplication tables. Kids first memorize a multiplication table until it becomes second nature to them then it is easy to solve math multiplication problems. You can use free Multiplication Worksheets for multiplication practice. There are printable multiplication tables as well as multiplication games to help you with multiplication practice.

Before we practice multiplication, we will discuss what multiplication is and how to do multiplication the easy way. There are printable multiplication tables with multiplication chart to help you along the way. Multiplication games are also fun and educational.

What is multiplication?

First of all the mathematical symbol for multiplication is:

Multiplication

When you multiply something, say 3 by 2, you are adding 3 twice. Let’s do an illustration of how a multiplication work.

multiplication example

Another multiplication example is, say, 3 times 4. 3 times 4 means 3 + 3 + 3 + 3 (4 times) equals 12. In another word:

Multiplication worksheet

Now, knowing what multiplication means, you can either keep adding three four times (in the multiplication example above) or just memorize that 3 times 4 is 12. 3 times 4 is 12 appears on a multiplication table and most people learn the multiplication tables at a very young age to help them multiply quickly and able to solve more complicated math problems.

Note that three times four is the same as four times three. In another word:

That’s it. Now you know how to multiply the long way. Or you can just memorize the multiplication tables and save time.

Question: High School math help?

Today, we got a math worksheet. It is all about using Inductive Reasoning to solve problems. I can’t seem to figure out three of them and was wondering if any of you could. The patterns are:
18, 46, 94, 63, 52, 61, ____
O, T, T, F, F, S, S, E, N, ____
4, 8, 61, 221, 244, 884, ____

and if you could, can you check to see if this problem is right? (the slashes represent the fractions)
1, 3/2, 9/4, 27/8
For the missing number, i got 243/64

Answer: Umm…. I did not learn this yet, but I was able to know enough to figure out that the last problem you did was wrong.

1,3/2,9/4,27/8

the numerator is multiplied by 3 and the denominator is multiplied by 2. So, the answer is 81/16. TRUST ME AND GOOD LUCK WITH THE REST =)!
